Kemi Shakes The Internet: 2 Blocked

A mild drama ensued yesterday on Twitter, when two Twitter users insulted and threatened the life of one of the foremost  Nigerian journalists and top blogger Dr. Kemi Omololu Olunloyo. 

Madam Koo as she is fondly called did not take it lightly with the 2 twitter handles, she reported them to Twitter and we all know that unlike other social media Twitter takes reports seriously so rather than blocking an account, they suspend it. 

What led to the incident was when one @Ugochukwustep15 with the user name Atikulated apparently a Davido fan threatened the journalist by saying and I quote...

" Leave Davido alone else I'm gonna beat you up at your Ibadan  resident"

Another Twitter handle belonging to @pentrol2 with the user name Gbemisola Oluwatobi also insulted Madam Koo... Below are her exact words

"Public figure my foot so you can molest Ibadan people with ugly mouth sorry ma o you are really an important idiot I never this level of stupidity from supposed renounced public figure"


This prompted her to report them and Twitter subsequently suspended both the offenders.

These two people went overboard by violating Twitter rules. Some of twitter rules are elicited below:

* Violent threats 

* Stalking 

* swear words etc 

This came on the heels of #askdavido that took place yesterday on Twitter. The journalist asked Davido some vital questions bothering on his late friends as well as family matters.  This made some of his die hard fans to rant against her while some supported her too.

Recall that Davido a famous musician and the renowned journalist Kemi Omololu Olunloyo have been at loggerheads with each other for sometime now on the issues of his baby mamas, Chioma his girlfriend and most recently Davido's father Deji Adeleke. The journalist exposing their foul family secerets to the public, and on account of this the musician doesn't fail to abuse or swear words on her.

Kemi Omololu Olunloyo is the daughter of Oyo state former governor Omololu Olunloyo. She had early years education in Nigeria, later went to overseas to broaden her educational horizon on journalism and health matters.

    Dr. Kemi is one journalist I respect so much ...she is just so thorough at what she does lol she sends chills down the spines of Nigerian celebrities
