UPDATE: GUN SHOTS IN SYNAGOGUE MANY INJURED !
A man with an A.R 15-style rifle was seen on Saturday entering the synagogue in Poway California, yelling antisemitic words while shooting at the congregants. He stopped for a while when Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein tried to talk to him but he shot the rabbi in the hand.

It was the Sabbath and the last day of passover, a holiday that celebrates the Jewish freedom. The shooting left one person dead and three others injured including the rabbi.
The shooting is tagged a hate crime, the gunman was heard shouting, the Jews were ruining the world. The local officials identified him as John Earnest a 19 years old resident of San Diego. The offender has since been taken into custody.
This hate crime is one of at least five prominent attacks during worship services in the past year – and the third seemingly religion-fueled incident in recent weeks. It also came exactly six months after 11 people were killed at a Pittsburgh synagogue.
Here is a list of other recent religion-based hates crimes:
Sunnyvale, California
On Wednesday, April 24, a driver drove into a crowd of pedestrians, injuring eight, in Sunnyvale, California, in what police say was an intentional act because he thought some of the people were Muslim. The FBI opened a hate crimes probe.
Sri Lanka
On Easter Sunday, April 21, more than 250 people, including about 45 children, were killed in a horrific series of suicide bombings in Sri Lanka that targeted churches and hotels.
All seven of the suicide bombers in the attacks were Sri Lankan citizens tied to the local militant Islamist group called National Thowheeth Jama'ath, which was known for attacks on Buddhists.
officials have also said they believed the attack was in retaliation for an attack against Muslims in Christchurch, New Zealand. The Islamic State has also claimed responsibility.
Christchurch, New Zealand
On March 15, at least 50 people were killed and more than 20 seriously injured in shootings at two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. Authorities said the assault was a carefully orchestrated terror attack by an Australian self-proclaimed racist, who left a 74-page manifesto against immigrants and used a helmet-mounted camera to capture footage of the killings.
Jolo, Philippines
On Jan. 27, two suicide attackers detonated bombs minutes apart at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the largely Muslim island of Jolo in the Philippines. The attack left 20 people dead and more than 100 injured.
Witnesses said the first blast inside the cathedral sent churchgoers, some of them wounded, to stampede out of the main door.
Pittsburgh
On Oct. 27, 2018, a gunman stormed into the Tree of Life Congregation Synagogue shouting hate for Jews while Shabbat morning services were being held in the affluent Squirrel Hill neighborhood. The 20-minute attack left 11 people dead.
Among those killed: middle-aged brothers, an elderly husband and wife and a grandmother nearing 100. Many had gathered for a naming ceremony, which marks the beginning of a baby's journey in the Jewish faith.
